Job summary

DLR Group in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Interiors team. You will develop material and finish palettes, create 3D renderings, and prepare presentation drawings while coordinating design development with the project team.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of interior design experience, a Bachelor’s in Interior Design, and professional licensure. Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Bluebeam and BIM workflows are essential.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional interior design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is required.
  • Professional licensure is required.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Revit and knowledgeable in Bluebeam; experience with A/E/I/P software.
  • Strong design skills with sustainable principles and precise technical plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative and technically sound interior design solutions.
  • Coordinate QA/QC processes and project standards with Project Managers.
  • Maintain project schedules and timely delivery of documents.
  • Demonstrate strong concept design, space planning, and constructible detailing.
  • Apply appropriate products and FF&E aligned with sustainability goals and create presentations.
  • Attend site walks and Construction Administration meetings; share lessons learned.
  • Lead collaboration within the project team and communicate design ideas.
  • Ensure BIM standards are applied and resolve clashes.
  • Manage time and align costs with budgets.
