Senior Interior Designer – New York, NY

A leading New York-based architecture and design firm is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join its interiors team. This position arises due to the departure of a long-tenured team member and presents an opportunity within a large, multidisciplinary practice known for its commitment to design excellence.

The firm’s portfolio spans an impressive range of projects, including institutional, cultural, healthcare, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll be involved in all stages of project development, from concept and programming through to detailing, documentation, FF&E selection, and construction administration. You’ll also play a mentorship role, guiding junior designers and collaborating closely with project managers and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 8+ years of relevant experience, with exposure to large-scale or institutional work
• Proficiency in Revit is essential. Familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly valued.
• Deep knowledge of FF&E specification, procurement, and furniture systems appropriate for institutional and healthcare settings
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and navigate complex project teams
• Familiarity with building codes, systems, and ADA guidelines
• NCIDQ and LEED/WELL accreditation preferred or in progress
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position
