Job summary

MG2 is seeking a Designer (Level 3) to join our Seattle, WA office in the Community Environments market. You will lead design teams on mixed-use, multi-family, and hotel projects, overseeing the full design process from concept to construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, design or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
• Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, Auto-CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape.
• Knowledge of material selections and production of outline specifications; experience with sustainable material sourcing and embodied carbon.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams in the generation of comprehensive original design concepts and completion of design deliverables, including drawings and exhibits.
• Collaborate with architectural and design staff across varying project types and scales.
• Oversee production of design-related construction documents and provide guidance on design production.
• Conduct design research and compile detailed design documentation for project teams.
• Coordinate surveys of existing conditions and review potential design solutions with project leadership.
• Lead design meetings and participate in broader team discussions to maintain design intent.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of design deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Support with construction administration tasks and responses to RFIs/ submittals.
