Job summary

PeopleSpace - A Best In Class Haworth Partner in Seattle is seeking a Designer II to provide design and consultative services to clients and internal sales staff. The role focuses on leveraging knowledge, aesthetics and creativity to improve space outcomes through thoughtful space planning and product selection.

You will attend client meetings, review plans, and develop space plans and furniture specifications while coordinating with sales and A&D teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Certification such as NCIDQ, WELL or LEED is preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and CET / specification software.

Responsibilities

• Attends client meetings to review project scope and programming.
• Reviews documents and analyzes building plans to assess space needs.
• Conducts field measurements and furniture inventories.
• Conceptualizes design solutions and prepares drawings from client input.
• Develops space plans and furniture typicals addressing programming needs.
• Ensures accuracy of drawings and furniture specifications.
• Uses CET & Project Matrix to create drawings, renderings and specs.
• Leads design presentations for clients.
• Transmits complete project documentation to the team for orders.
• Provides working drawings to third party contractors as needed.
• Estimates time to complete scope and tracks weekly timesheet.
• Participates in training and department meetings.
