Job summary

HB Workplaces in Seattle is seeking a Senior Designer, Workplace Environments, to lead concept design and space planning for commercial furniture projects, shaping environments that boost productivity and well-being. You will partner with clients, A&D partners, and HB Account Managers to translate goals into compelling design solutions using the MillerKnoll family.

From layout concepts to CMF packages and documentation, you will guide the project through approvals, collaborate with designers,

Qualifications

5+ years professional interior design experience and a relevant degree
Commercial furniture dealership experience preferred
NCIDQ, WELL, and/or LEED certifications valued
Proficient with 2D/3D tools including CET Designer and AutoCAD
Knowledge of visualization tools such as Enscape, SketchUp, Twinmotion a plus

Responsibilities

Lead the creative design phase from concept through client approval
Develop space plans and design narratives reflecting client culture and strategy
Conduct discovery sessions with clients and Account Managers to align goals
Curate furniture palettes and selections matching the design vision
Create visual presentations with CET, SketchUp, Enscape or similar tools
Define CMF schemes and ensure sustainability and performance criteria
Present concepts and finishes to clients in person and online
Generate layouts, typicals and budgets based on applications
Follow building, fire and ADA codes related to furniture
Collaborate to translate concepts into detailed specs and docs
Stay current with design trends and MillerKnoll product innovations
Participate in design reviews and vendor presentations
