Goken America is seeking an experienced engineer to support design and development in automotive interiors. The role leads transitions from support activities to small-scale projects, coordinating with offshore teams and customers to meet cost, delivery, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include leading large-scale programs, mentoring teammates, and pursuing design improvements to reduce costs while utilizing CATIA V5/V6 and DFMEA/GD&T knowledge.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years relevant automotive interiors experience.
• Specialties: Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, and DFM.
• Experience using Catia V5/V6 for 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Design experience in IP, interior trim, and seat trim/structure is preferred.
• Lead development of assigned parts and coordinate with offshore teams.

• Lead and support engineering for large-scale product programs: feasibility, design in CATIA, layout reviews, drawings, and negotiations.
• Create concepts and specs that meet cost, delivery, accuracy, and quality targets for customers.
• Lead transition from tasks to small-scale projects by tracking progress and resolving issues.
• Support management with project scope, scheduling, quoting, and reporting for small-scale projects.
• Mentor and train other associates in the team.
• Identify ways to increase efficiency and reduce design and parts costs using current tech.
