Job summary

Vivmark Residential in Arlington, VA, seeks a Senior Manager, Interior Architect to lead interior design for in-house and renovation projects across the multifamily portfolio. You’ll ensure detailed, buildable documents and coordinate with MEP, structure, and consultants, maintaining schedule and budget.

This role requires advanced Revit and BIM skills, leadership to mentor designers, and a track record delivering complex interiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design.
• 12-15 years of relevant professional experience in architecture, interior architecture, or interior design.
• Advanced knowledge of interior construction, detailing, materials, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and execution of interior architecture for in-house designed new development and renovation projects throughout all design phases.
• Translate conceptual interior design direction into well-resolved, buildable design solutions, with attention to architectural details, material transitions, millwork, ceilings, and other custom design elements.
• Lead development, review, and quality control of construction documents, and specifications.
• Coordinate interior architecture with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, low-voltage, signage, accessibility, and other consultants to identify conflicts prior to construction.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, mock-ups, field conditions, punch lists, and substitutions.
• Participate in site visits and construction meetings to evaluate installation quality and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to interior designers and other team members on documentation and delivery.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for the Design team, managing Revit and BIM strategy.
