Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is seeking an Interior Architectural Designer/Architect II for Orlando and Los Angeles offices. You will lead interior design-focused projects from concept through construction, including guest-centric environments for themed spaces, hospitality, and commercial work.

Applicants should have 6+ years of experience, and be licensed in Florida or eligible for reciprocity, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools. Requires NAAB-aligned degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in design, documentation, and construction of interior architecture and/or architectural projects, with a focus on commercial entertainment and hospitality.
• Strong collaboration, presenting design concepts, and ability to lead client meetings.
• Experience with design development, construction documentation, and coordinating across offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration with senior input.
• Develop design concepts, programming, space planning, and detailing.
• Ensure design continuity across phases, align with goals, budgets, codes, and client expectations.
• Present ideas clearly to clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day design activities and coordinate with cross-discipline teams.
• Review and produce high-quality documents, renderings, and specifications.
• Support project manager in schedules, deliverables, and performance.
• Foster knowledge sharing and contribute to a collaborative culture.
