API and Web Services Expertise: Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, HTTP request/response processes, endpoint configuration, and integration troubleshooting.
Data Formats and Validation: Strong proficiency in JSON, XML, data schemas, payload validation, data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation techniques.
Secure File Transfers: Required experience with SFTP, including file‑transfer troubleshooting, connectivity, encryption, access controls, and operational monitoring.
Technical Documentation: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business requirements, interface specifications, data mappings, record layouts, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
Database and Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL, database validation, transaction analysis, error‑log investigation, and identifying discrepancies across integrated systems.

Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, coordinate integration design and testing, and resolve data or connectivity issues that affect operational performance. Contribute to healthcare interoperability initiatives and continuous improvements in development and delivery practices. Success in this role requires technical depth, careful documentation, proactive communication, and accountability for integration outcomes from initial requirements through production stabilization.
Gather and Analyze Requirements: Work with business analysts, technical teams, vendors, and external partners to define interface requirements, assess existing capabilities, and document integration needs.
Develop Interface Specifications: Create and maintain technical documentation covering data schemas, file layouts, field mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, error handling, and reconciliation processes.
Define API Requirements: Document REST, SOAP, and FHIR-based interfaces, including endpoints, request and response structures, authentication requirements, payload formats, and error-handling behavior.
Support Interoperability Initiatives: Contribute to healthcare data-sharing programs and applicable regulatory initiatives involving FHIR-based patient access, provider access, payer-to-payer exchange, and prior authorization APIs.
Coordinate Integration Design: Facilitate joint application design sessions, technical reviews, schema walkthroughs, and requirements validation to ensure proposed solutions meet approved specifications.
Plan and Execute Testing: Develop interface test scenarios and coordinate system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), end-to-end testing, regression testing, and production verification.
Validate Data Exchanges: Assess inbound and outbound transactions for completeness, accuracy, transformation integrity, and reconciliation; investigate inconsistencies and coordinate corrective actions.
Maintain Secure Connectivity: Support SFTP workflows, encryption and decryption processes, access permissions, transfer schedules, network connectivity, and secure file‑exchange operations.
Troubleshoot Integration Issues: Investigate API failures, rejected transactions, file‑transfer errors, connectivity disruptions, and production incidents using logs, monitoring tools, and transaction-level analysis.
Manage End-to-End Delivery: Coordinate assigned interfaces across requirements, design, development, deployment, cutover, production validation, documentation, and post-implementation support.
Work Location: Quincy, Massachusetts.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, combining on‑site and remote work according to operational requirements.
