Job summary

ZP Group is seeking an experienced Interdisciplinary Engineer to support facility engineering, design review, construction, and infrastructure projects across Alaska.

You will conduct technical reviews, develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and perform facility condition assessments, with occasional travel to remote sites. A PE license is highly preferred and Public Trust eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience with National Codes and mechanical engineering systems (HVAC, plumbing, fuel systems, tanks, pumps, piping, steam).
• PE license highly preferred; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for facility repair, restoration, renovation, and new construction projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of engineering studies, reports, specifications, and design packages.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering recommendations.
• Perform facility condition assessments and field investigations.
• Review Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to project managers and stakeholders on engineering issues and solutions.
• Coordinate responses to contractor and architect/engineer requests for information.
• Support projects in challenging and remote environments throughout Alaska.
