Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Interdisciplinary Engineer to support facility engineering, design reviews, construction, and infrastructure projects throughout Alaska.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, 5+ years of experience (10+ preferred), and eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance. PE license and AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience are highly valued. Travel throughout Alaska is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance.
• Experience with mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fuel, tanks, pumps, piping, steam).

Responsibilities

• Support facility repair, restoration, renovation, and new construction projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of studies, reports, specs, and design packages.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering recommendations.
• Perform facility condition assessments and field investigations.
• Review Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to project managers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs from contractors and architects/engineers.
• Support projects in challenging, remote environments throughout Alaska.
