Job summary
Capital Power, based in Phoenix, is hiring a Senior Lead, Interconnections & Transmission Engineer in a hybrid role. You will provide technical and commercial expertise to support interconnection of power generation projects, evaluate transmission options, and coordinate interconnection studies with utilities and system operators.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least six years in transmission planning or interconnection studies, with knowledge of
Qualifications
- Six years of experience in transmission planning or interconnection studies.
- Strong knowledge of reliability standards and interconnection procedures.
- Ability to lead studies and communicate with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate transmission and interconnection options to meet project objectives.
- Coordinate interconnection studies from application to approval and implementation.
- Review power flow, stability, short-circuit, and other technical studies.
- Provide technical input into interconnection agreements, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Collaborate with utilities, system operators, and cross-functional teams.
