Job summary

Anthropic is hiring a Senior Accountant to build and own the intercompany and consolidation pillar. You will run multi-entity, multi-currency closes in Workday, design scalable elimination and cost-allocation models, and automate processes to reduce manual steps while ensuring accuracy.

This role reports to the Head of Consolidations & Intercompany and collaborates with Tax, Treasury, and M&A Finance Integration to ensure tight financial controls and efficient close cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• US GAAP knowledge and consolidation experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and own monthly and quarterly consolidation close in Workday, including intercompany eliminations.
• Own the intercompany sub-ledger end to end: matching, settlement, balance confirmations, issue resolution.
• Design and maintain cost-allocation model for shared costs; ensure automation and defensibility.
• Document intercompany flows and maintain single source of truth for structure and elimination logic.
• Partner to design target operating model and codify it through procedures and controls.
• Operationalize transfer-pricing arrangements with Tax and support treasury processes.
• Integrate acquired entities into consolidation framework; work with M&A Finance Integration.
• Build automation across close using scripting, reporting tools, and AI-assisted tooling.
• Provide consolidation audit support and be primary contact for external auditors.
