Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc (GPI) is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to join our Bridgewater, NJ office. The role involves designing, planning, integrating, and delivering technology within complex transportation environments.

GPI is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with 50+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in ITS design, strong communication, and proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Electrical, Computer Engineering / Science or similar.
• Previous NJDOT ITS design experience preferred.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• 5+ years of ITS design and Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ITS and Systems Engineering for Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and related traffic systems.
• Perform communications design including fiber optic, telco, and wireless.
• Understand network security and controls systems design.
• Complete site visits, evaluate and analyze existing systems.
• Develop SERF and ConOps reports and plans based on analyses.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate projects.
