Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks an experienced Utility Engineer to lead utility relocation and coordination for transportation infrastructure projects in Bridgewater, NJ. The role requires expertise in utility coordination, regulatory compliance, and prompt conflict resolution in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• BSCE or comparable engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate utility relocation and protection plans with utility companies, internal design teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specs and relocation designs for code and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve conflicts between existing and proposed utilities and transportation design elements.
• Coordinate with vendors to perform utility test pits.
• Prepare documentation including reports, relocation schedules, meeting minutes and correspondence.
• Ensure coordination aligns with NJDOT, NJTA and other agency standards.
