Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a motivated Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader to join our Transportation team in Bridgewater, NJ.

You will work with experienced Team Leaders on bridge condition inspection projects across New Jersey and beyond, gaining hands-on inspection experience and developing skills to advance into a Team Leader role. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
1–5 years of bridge inspection, structural engineering, or transportation-related experience preferred.
EIT certification or progress toward licensure preferred.
Ability to travel throughout New Jersey for field assignments.

Responsibilities

Assist Team Leaders with routine, in-depth, NSTM, and ancillary structure inspections.
Assist planning, coordinating, and performing field inspections of bridges and related structures.
Collect field measurements, photographs, and inspection data.
Prepare inspection reports and documentation.
Assist with load ratings and developing repair and rehabilitation recommendations.
Coordinate with project teams to deliver quality work on schedule.
Work in compliance with safety requirements.
Support bridge rehabilitation and replacement design projects as opportunities arise.
