Job summary

Castelion in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to drive the transition of advanced defense hardware from prototype to full production. You’ll lead integration, test, and qualification of mechanical and electrical subsystems, establish scalable manufacturing and test processes, and support flight-test campaigns.

The role requires collaboration across design, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver production-ready builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years in aerospace/defense or high-reliability manufacturing roles (integration, test, or manufacturing).
• History of taking hardware from R&D/prototype to production.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
• Exposure to mechanical, electrical, avionics, and propulsion or fluids systems.

Responsibilities

• Own assembly, integration, and test processes for hypersonic vehicle assemblies.
• Become an expert in system-level interactions and field operation.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering to move hardware to production-ready status.
• Evaluate manufacturability, testability, and producibility; feed back into design reviews.
• Develop, document, and qualify manufacturing and test processes; maintain work instructions and test procedures.
• Lead hands-on build and test operations with technicians.
• Troubleshoot failures; lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
