Job description

The Managing Director – Integration Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution, and management of the integration of new teams and capabilities into Cambridge Associates. This individual will serve as the architect of integration efforts arising from acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships ensuring that new groups are integrated smoothly, efficiently, and in a manner consistent with the firm's culture, operating model, and strategic priorities. The role requires a hands-on leader who can translate transformation strategy into structured execution plans, coordinate across business units and corporate functions, and drive integration workstreams.

This role owns end-to-end integration execution — turning the firm's transformation and growth strategy into a repeatable, well-governed integration capability.

  • Lead the day-to-day management of integration efforts for new groups, teams, products, and capabilities joining Cambridge Associates, including acquisitions, lift-outs, joint ventures, and newly launched internal capabilities.
  • Develop and own detailed integration plans, timelines, milestones, and success metrics for each integration, ensuring clear accountability across workstreams.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between the incoming group/capability and internal CA stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve integration risks and issues in real time, keeping executive sponsors informed of status, dependencies, and decisions needed.
  • Drive post-integration follow-through, ensuring new capabilities are fully operational, adopted, and measured against original business case objectives.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including significant experience leading M&A integration, business transformation, or large-scale organizational change initiatives, ideally within investment management, financial services, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional integration programs from planning through execution and adoption.
  • Strong program/project management skills, with fluency in integration methodologies, governance structures, and change management best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders across a matrixed organization.
  • Sound business and financial acumen, including comfort with due diligence, operating models, and organizational design.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. PMP, Prosci, or similar change/program management experience a plus.
  • High degree of discretion and judgment, given exposure to confidential and market-sensitive information related to prospective transactions.
