Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a DISA program onsite at Ford Island, Hawaii. You will lead a small team of engineers, provide expert IP and Optical network engineering, and drive IT&A activities across DEV/TEST and Production environments.

As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with DISA government engineers, project managers, and vendors to plan, test, and deploy complex telecommunications systems, ensuring secure, reliable WAN/LAN services and robust network

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience; Master with 10+ years accepted.
Active Secret security clearance.
Current DoD 8140 certification.
Strong written and oral communications; ability to brief senior personnel.
Experience remotely configuring networking devices.
Familiar with IP, MPLS, DWDM, SONET, and related networks.
Experience leading a technical team and coordinating with customers/vendors.
Knowledge of VPN, security practices and network appliances.

Responsibilities

Manage a small team of engineers and support customer briefings.
Provide engineering and technical expertise on DISN networks.
Develop reports with engineering recommendations across network areas.
Collaborate with DISN engineers, PMs, and GSM-O for project coordination and testing.
Evaluate system network requirements and make technical recommendations.
Establish remote management connectivity and oversee testing.
Support IT&A and project deployments.
