Job summary

Capital One is seeking an Integration Engineer to join the Global Payment Network (GPN) and drive the architecture, design, and operation of integration solutions across enterprise applications. You will shape how payment network systems connect with partners, APIs, and cloud services, acting as a senior technical authority and mentor within the PXT organization.

You’ll implement robust integration frameworks, collaborate with product owners, and stay current with tech trends to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations.
• At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft)
• At least 4 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows
• At least 1 year of experience implementing monitoring, observability, and automated remediation for integration reliability and performance

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
• Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions that connect diverse enterprise applications, including core business platforms like Salesforce CRM and Google Cloud services (GCP)
• Serve as a senior technical authority for integration design, automation, and system interoperability across multiple platforms and business domains
