Job summary

Capital One seeks an Integration Engineer to innovate in a fast-paced DevOps environment, building and supporting tooling with AWS and modern integration frameworks. You’ll drive platform availability, resilience, and secure data flows across cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with architecture and software teams to implement scalable integration solutions, leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tooling, while mentoring engineers and advancing API-based integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting or maintaining cross-platform integrations or system connectivity.
• At least 3 years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools.
• At least 1 year of experience driving testing, testing frameworks, or integrating new platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work with data/process/data owners and consumers owners to understand desired application capabilities and explain limitations in non-technical terms.
• Focus on building and maintaining the underlying operational aspects of the platform including remediating vulnerabilities.
• Monitor platform support Slack channels and address customer questions and issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Workspace features and best practices, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
• Continuously improve file storage process, governance, audit, legal & retention practices and standards.
• Work within and across lines of business teams to intake, provision, and deploy solutions.
• Lead the availability, resilience and scalability of the platform.
• Work closely with the Architecture team to align the platforms to latest architecture and configuration.
• Encourage innovation, automation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity to a legacy process.
• Develop, and utilize best practices to enhance the overall user experience of the platform.
• Utilize scripting languages like HTML, Python, SQL, Robo-copy.
• Working knowledge of Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
• Collaborate with the Software Engineers to ensure software works seamlessly on the platforms.
• Strong experience in application security, logging and monitoring, and auditability of access controls and data security and integrity.
• Experience in content management technologies for data classification, data labeling, data encryption, data pipelines and automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication on technical topics and issues.
