Job summary

Deloitte US Consulting is seeking an Integration Engineer III to join the AI & Engineering team. You will design and implement complex integrations, manage APIs (REST/SOAP), and collaborate across geographies to streamline critical business processes.

The role includes EDI workflows, deployment across environments, documentation, and adherence to best practices. Travel up to 50% may be required; consulting experience is a plus; sponsorship may be available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on integration tools experience (Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, Workato, Tibco, WebSphere) with certifications.
Experience in a consulting environment or relevant industry sector (retail, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services).
3+ years' experience with AWS, Google Apigee or Azure Logic Apps.
Strong understanding of integration design patterns, API protocols (REST/SOAP), XML, JSON, and data mapping.
Proficiency with connectors, data mapping, error handling, and SDLC concepts.
Experience writing Groovy and JavaScript in integration environments for complex logic.
Experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and EDI document flows.
Strong SQL skills and relational databases.
Integration certifications (Boomi, Workato, WebSphere, MuleSoft, etc.) and cloud certs (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Ability to travel up to 50% depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

Design complex integration solutions following industry best practices and patterns (publish/subscribe, request/reply, aggregator).
Design, build, and manage APIs (REST/SOAP) for secure system communications.
Implement and manage EDI processes and partner configurations.
Develop, test, and deploy integration processes across SDLC environments.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and provide post-deployment support.
Create and maintain technical documentation for designs and data mappings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows and follow best practices.
Take ownership of integration projects and mentor junior staff.
Leverage AI features (e.g., Boomi GPT, MuleSoft Vibes) to accelerate development and documentation.
