About Us

Pico MES is an innovative startup revolutionizing manufacturing with our state-of-the-art Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). We aim to empower manufacturers with real-time insights, streamlined operations, and enhanced productivity through tailored integration solutions. We seek a passionate Head of Integrations to lead our team and develop robust frameworks and best practices.

What We Are Looking For

The Device Integrations team develops and maintains Pico's plug-and-play device library for connected equipment used in factories, including USB barcode scanners, torque tools, measurement equipment, and custom testers. The role involves 25-50% customer support and system troubleshooting. You'll gain experience with various protocols, libraries, and Pico's system architecture, including web applications, IoT infrastructure, networking, and servers.

What You'll Do

1. Research and integrate customer equipment using Node.js, Python, and other languages.
2. Maintain and improve Pico's hardware/software powered by Raspberry Pi.
3. Develop custom scripts for log analysis, machine data, and integrations.
4. Participate in software releases and system upgrades, ensuring updates and testing.
5. Assess and resolve issues at customer sites, providing solutions.
6. Handle customer requests for new device/tool integrations.
7. Review data sheets and protocol specs to develop integration software.
8. Diagnose deployment issues, from tool communication to network problems.
9. Compile bug reports and support testing/validation for deployments.

Who You Are

• 5-7+ years experience with Python, Node.js, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with bash, databases, communication protocols (Serial, Ethernet IP, Modbus, HTTP).
• Experience with lab equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering.
• Curiosity about integrating new equipment and features into digital systems.
• Familiar with React and Go backend systems.
• Experience with embedded firmware development.
• Passionate about building delightful products that surprise and satisfy customers.
• Basic circuit knowledge.
• Experience with electronic hardware/firmware in automotive, electronics, manufacturing industries.
• Bachelor's in CS, Engineering, or related; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in software/hardware/system architecture roles, focused on manufacturing.
• Experience leading and managing integration teams.
• Deep knowledge of hardware integration and IoT devices.
• Proficiency in Go and React for development.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive skills.
• Experience leading IoT and data collection platform teams.
• Experience managing customer support and deployments (cloud/on-prem).
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative and effective in remote environments.
