Job description

At Sirona Medical we’re building tools for physicians to work as fast as they can think. Many billions of patient images are acquired each year in the U.S., and nearly all of them are reviewed and diagnosed by a radiologist. In fact, 80% of healthcare data flows through radiology IT systems, and radiologists are among healthcare’s most tech-savvy and influential physicians. But they desperately need better, user-friendly software that cuts clicks and optimizes diagnostic time. Sirona is building a modern cloud-native and AI-powered operating system (“RadOS”) that unifies radiology IT onto a single, streamlined workspace. We’re a San Francisco, CA-based software company (with employees working from all over the world) founded on a deep understanding of both the practice and business of radiology.

  • Analyze client workflows and propose seamless system integration solutions by leveraging deep knowledge of healthcare applications.
  • Design and develop interfaces and data normalization solutions using healthcare system interface engines.
  • Monitor integrations, proactively identifying and resolving system integration issues.
  • Provide ongoing integration-related support, promptly addressing and resolving customer-reported issues.
  • Enhance integration strategies by developing custom solutions, improving deployment ease, and optimizing connectivity.
  • Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, to continuously enhance technical solutions and the overall client experience.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive documentation for all developed interfaces, including data mappings, message flows, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for interface support, including after-hours and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare integrations, specifically involving HL7 and/or DICOM standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, transform, cleanse, and load large data sets from healthcare source systems. Hands-on experience with at least one integration engine.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership capabilities; comfortable guiding team members and shaping best practices within integration operations.
