Job summary

APi Group is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Integration Senior Associate to support strategic growth by facilitating effective integration of newly acquired businesses.

The role connects diverse teams and stakeholders, enabling collaboration, alignment, and execution through the integration process, with exposure to organizational leaders and a deep understanding of APi's operations and integration practices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience leading deployment of large and complex initiatives.
  • Experience in M&A integration (preferred).
  • Experience building project plans and PM artifacts; working with cross-functional teams.

Job description

APi Group is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Integration Senior Associate to support APi's strategic growth by helping facilitate effective integration of newly acquired businesses.

This role serves as a key connector across diverse teams and stakeholders, supporting collaboration, alignment, and execution throughout the integration process. The M&A Integration Senior Associate provides exposure to leaders across the organization and offers the opportunity to build a strong understanding of APi's operations, processes, and integration practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee M&A Integration projects
  • Supports pre-close integration planning by partnering with deal execution team to assess integration complexity, identify workstream owners, and establish Day 1 readiness requirements
  • Leads integration kickoff activities, including workstream onboarding, goal setting, and the establishment of integration governance structures.
  • Coordinates cross-functional workstream leads to ensure interdependencies are visible, sequenced appropriately, and resolved in a timely manner
  • Tracks integration milestones and synergy commitments, escalating blockers and risks to senior leadership with recommended paths forward
  • Facilitates integration steering committee meetings and prepares executive-level reporting on integration status, progress, and key decisions
  • Develops and maintains integration management office (IMO) frameworks, templates, and playbooks to support consistent and scalable integration execution
  • Provides accurate timelines and ensures project activities and resources are aligned to deliver established priorities.
  • Aligns integration stakeholders through strong communication, influencing, and relationship building.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and key resource to all integration teams, promoting collaboration and sharing across workstreams through transparency, effective communication, and frequent updates.
  • Fosters and guides the adoption of integration tools and business processes throughout project deployment.
  • Advocates for change management with empathy for relationships and individual positions.
Qualifications
  • 7 years of progressive experience leading the deployment of large and complex initiatives
  • Previous experience working within M&A Integration (preferred)
  • Transaction Advisory or Support
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions
  • Experience building project plans and creating all project management artifacts
  • Ability to engage within a collaborative team and effectively partner with diverse leaders across the country
  • Exceptional time management
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Stakeholders at all levels (executives, IT leaders, project leaders, etc)
Benefits and Compensation

This role is based in our New Brighton, MN office. The salary range for this position is $99,700-$149,500 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on individual and company performance.
