Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead the Startup Integrated Planning team within the GEMS organization. This role oversees a team of contracted project planners and shapes planning standards across North America’s infrastructure portfolio.

The position focuses on strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of scheduling processes in a rapidly scaling environment. Occasional travel up to 50% and relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• Bachelor's degree as minimum qualification.
• Experience in stakeholder management and handling multiple stakeholders.
• 5+ years of integrated scheduling experience including MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Experience applying AI tools and automation to scale program operations.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance the workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners, including capacity modeling and procurement negotiations.
• Oversee contracted project planners: set expectations, provide training, review deliverables, and support escalations.
• Assign and rebalance planners across projects based on priority and workload.
• Track project budgets, manage invoicing, and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Refine and enforce quality standards for integrated project schedules and governance.
