Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Sr Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst in Colorado. You will serve as a subject matter expert in scheduling for highly complex programs, ensuring realistic, achievable master schedules and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree targeting Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project Professional or other scheduling tools.
• Ability to proactively drive conversations and ask detailed questions.
• Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
• Collaborating with multi-faceted teams to drive issues to closure.
• Communicate status to completion and raise blockers to the team.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and systems.
• Understanding of DCMA 14-point & IPMDAR DI_MGMT-81861.
• Ability to apply Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis.
• Understanding of Schedule Performance and Health Metric Analysis.
• Understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development.
• Experience in the development and maintenance of resource-loaded IMS schedules.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and coordination of integrated master plans and schedules for complex projects.
• Oversee tracking of project plans to ensure integration across the enterprise.
• Conduct advanced risk analysis to identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
• Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts using CP/PERT/milestones.
• Prepare and present detailed schedule status reports to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate scheduling data.
• Mentor junior schedulers on advanced scheduling techniques.
• Develop and implement advanced scheduling best practices.
