Nationwide Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to join the Nationwide Trial Division, a national team with offices across the United States. You will independently handle and lead complex civil litigation matters in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation, representing clients under both commercial and personal lines policies.

The role requires Juris Doctor with an active license and typically more than eight years of civil litigation experience.

Formación

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license in the state of practice.
• More than eight years of civil litigation experience in property and casualty defense or subrogation.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates trial advocacy skills as lead counsel or part of a team in accordance with Nationwide Trial Division guidelines.
• Requires minimal managerial oversight from the Managing Trial Attorney and NTD Leadership.
• Utilizes technology and collaborates with staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Remains aware of changes to law, rules, or procedures affecting liability and recovery strategies.
• Provides sound opinions on case valuations and communicates updates to client and claims partners.
• Builds professional relationships with claims partners and colleagues across jurisdictions.
• Mentors junior attorneys and staff, promoting engagement and collaboration.
• Maintains strong client, claims, and internal communications expectations.
