Tyson & Mendes seeks a seasoned senior litigator in Texas to lead high-exposure defense matters. A Texas bar license is required, with a track record of courtroom leadership and strategic advocacy. This role offers autonomy and collaboration across a national platform.

The position emphasizes mentoring junior attorneys, managing complex cases, and delivering exceptional client value within a flexible work model that values outcomes over face time.

Qualifications

• Must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in your state (Texas).
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience including discovery and trial prep.
• Ability to manage full case handling with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Develop a case theme that is more compelling than any plaintiff ploy for sympathy or anger
• Refuse to accept mediocrity, the average, the standard or the norm in anything
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials
• Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences
• Routine communications with clients
• Cultivate relationships with the firm’s existing and future clients
• Provide leadership and direction with respect to less experienced attorneys
