Law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join the litigation team and represent insurance carriers, businesses, and insured clients in civil matters. You will manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution and work with colleagues to develop defense strategies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurance carriers, insured individuals, and businesses in civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Manage cases through all litigation phases: assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial prep.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, briefs and related documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure; advise on strategy and resolution.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and others involved.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to efficiently manage cases and meet client expectations.
