Job summary

Accelerant is seeking a Data Product Analyst to drive the design, delivery, and evolution of insurance data products within a data mesh framework. The role focuses on Reserving, Reinsurance, and Month Close data, ensuring semantic correctness and audit-ready documentation.

The candidate will act as a domain design authority, aligning definitions across underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance, and will collaborate with data engineering and governance teams to deliver trusted analytics products.

Qualifications

• Typically 6–10 years in data-aligned roles such as data product, BI/analytics engineering, governance/stewardship, or domain analytics.

Responsibilities

• Translate domain needs into data product specifications with clear scope, assumptions, and acceptance criteria.
• Define and maintain core insurance entities and relationships and their grain and aggregation rules.
• Define standard insurance metrics and ensure consistent interpretation across teams.
• Design, enhance, and maintain data products with engineering teams; manage lifecycle and backward compatibility.
• Oversee governance, metadata, lineage, and quality thresholds for data products.
