Job summary

Poms & Associates in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Insurance Customer Service Representative 2 to support commercial policy servicing, provide technical insurance support, and resolve complex account issues. You will work independently, assist higher-level servicing, and support the team with accuracy and ownership.

The role requires familiarity with COIs, EPIs, endorsements, renewals, and data management in AMS/WorkSmart. A P&C license is preferred or obtainable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience may substitute.
• Property & Casualty license preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Minimum of two years of commercial insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Process complex COIs, EPIs, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Policy processing, maintenance, and data management in the AMS system.
• Review policy forms and carrier communications for accuracy.
• Manage renewals and collect renewal updates and information
• Prepare SOVs, coverage summaries, loss run requests, and MVRs
• Assist with audits, invoicing, mail, and document management
• Resolve complex service issues with quality and accuracy
• Maintain knowledge of commercial coverages (GL, WC, Auto, Property, Umbrella, etc.)
