Job summary

RiverStone is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to lead complex, high-exposure insurance coverage disputes from strategy to resolution. The role requires coordinating internal and external resources and delivering favorable outcomes for affiliates and policyholders.

The successful candidate will develop and execute litigation strategies, manage budgets with outside counsel, and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory expectations. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of insurance coverage experience as outside counsel or in the insurance industry.
• Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice in any state or DC.
• Strong analytical and strategic litigation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategy for assigned litigated matters.
• Lead and manage complex, high-exposure claims and exposures.
• Direct outside counsel, budgets, and strategic plans.
• Prepare reports applying facts to law and contract provisions.
• Coordinate discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
• Monitor legal developments and brief stakeholders.
