Job summary

Bold Penguin is seeking a Principal, Insurance Coverage & Data Ontology, a fully remote leadership role responsible for owning the coverage ontology and its application across the Digital Exchange platform.

You will work with brokers, underwriters, carriers, product, and data science to translate complex policy language into a governed, versioned ontology that supports quote analysis, policy verification, and tower analysis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in commercial insurance coverage or related leadership roles.
• JD preferred.
• Deep working knowledge of ISO standard forms and endorsements across lines.

Responsibilities

• Own the coverage ontology end to end, including entity model and clause taxonomy.
• Build and maintain ISO rubrics for classification and comparison.
• Establish form registries with versions, dates, and change control.
• Develop form templates and delta structures for explicit coverage implications.
• Define coverage logic for multi-carrier quote and broker proposal workflows.
• Set accuracy standards and review loops for model outputs against expert judgment.
