Job summary

Openly is seeking a senior analytics leader to measure the success of national insurance programs and guide strategic decisions. You will serve as a technical resource across the analytics team, building dashboards, predictive models, and insights that drive growth, retention, and profitability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product, Sales, Claims, and Service, with a path toward people management of one to two contributors. Remote-first with strong focus on US operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in insurance products (personal lines/property and/or auto) required.
• Advanced analytical thinking; ability to evaluate countrywide insurance programs against targets.
• Expert-level SQL skills.
• Experience building/refining predictive models in Python or R.
• Proven track record identifying process gaps and influencing decisions.
• Experience gathering requirements and building dashboards (PowerBI/Tableau/LookerStudio).
• Ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses for strategic decisions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high autonomy.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration across levels.
• CPCU or equivalent designation; actuarial exams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between Insurance Product org and analytics to translate analysis into business and financial context.
• Collaborate with Insurance Product, Sales & Marketing, Claims, and Service on complex projects.
• Develop monitoring frameworks and provide growth and profitability insights.
• Conduct analyses of countrywide programs to quantify success and opportunities.
• Architect end-to-end analytical frameworks, including predictive models where appropriate.
• Identify data gaps across the insurance lifecycle and map ripple effects of solutions.
• Lead data storytelling to align analytics with strategy.
• Perform competitor research to inform internal decisions.
• Provide technical leadership across the analytics team.
