Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Senior Commercial Claims Analytics Consultant for a remote role across the United States. You will transform data into decision-ready insights, drive portfolio management, and guide risk outcomes.

Expect collaboration with Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology teams while mentoring junior analysts. You will lead complex analyses, present to senior leadership, and help build scalable analytics practices with a focus on actionable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL (Snowflake preferred), Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques.
• Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience essential.
• Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations.
• Skills to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques.
• Expert knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.
• Strong ability to independently solve technical challenges by leveraging online resources.
• Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity. Passion for learning new things, with an interest in technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Direct claims experience or analytical actuarial experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging trends and issues; present to senior management in a consultative role.
• Perform complex data analysis for Commercial Claims aligned to business and portfolio objectives.
• Provide interpretation and insight on proposals; guide outcomes.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights.
• Conduct root cause, cost-benefit, performance tracking, forecasting analyses with actionable insights.
• Identify and interpret trends, risks, and opportunities impacting client and portfolio performance.
• Formulate data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency and loss outcomes.
• Collaborate with Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology to define problems and deliver solutions.
• Drive alignment communicating insights to senior leadership; build relationships for adoption.
• Contribute to building data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards.
• Help establish consistent metric definitions, governance, and scalable analytics practices.
• Support AI-enabled and automated analytics capabilities development.
• Leverage industry data to evaluate results in relation to industry
