Qualifications

• Experience with GAAP, statutory, and tax reporting for financial statements and budgeting.
• Knowledge of insurance accounting concepts and products.
• Proactive and able to manage projects independently.
• Clear written and verbal communication with business partners.
• Analytical review of financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly financial statements and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare or review journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Lead development of accounting samples and ERP testing for new products or reinsurance.
• Analyze trends and variances driving financial results.
• Develop and document procedures to ensure accounting accuracy.
• Support auditors, examiners, rating agencies, and IRS leadership with financial information.
• Participate in projects related to financial reporting or contracts.
• Identify opportunities for and lead process-improvement initiatives.
