Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to perform full design tasks for complex electrical and instrumentation projects in our Pasadena office. The role requires extensive experience and involves leading small to mid-sized projects, guiding drafters, and coordinating with other disciplines.

The candidate should have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, PE is preferred, and at least 6 years of relevant industrial experience, with strong NEC knowledge and CAD

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of NEC current version.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver complete electrical/instrumentation engineering assignments.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting and engineering staff.
• Lead small to mid-sized projects and check vendor drawings for compliance.
• Develop 15kV/5kV equipment specifications and installation details.
• Produce construction specifications and cost studies as needed.
