Job summary

Peraton is seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy Instrumentation & Control systems within PERATON Labs. The role emphasizes process control and plant interfaces, requiring hands-on testing and documentation generation for design packages.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team, read and produce professional technical docs, and be onsite five days a week in Port Reading, NJ, with US citizenship. BS/MS/PhD paths considered based on experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience
• MS with 6+ years of experience
• PhD with 3+ years of experience
• Experience reading and writing technical documentation
• Ability to be onsite five days a week
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test experimental Instrumentation & Control systems.
• Author and review documentation packages including process control diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test plans.
• Prepare material such as presentations, simulations, analysis and other key communicable material for both internal and external reviews for design, and manufacture.
• Review design document packages for manufacturability, testability and design validation.
• Occasionally support hands-on work to test electronics, software, diagnose failures and render repairs if needed.
• Provide technical oversight of staff when appropriate.
