Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Instrumentation & Control engineer to join PERATON Labs in New Jersey. You will design and test control systems, create documentation, and prepare materials for reviews. The role emphasizes prototype maturation, on-site work, and collaboration with engineering, science, and technical staff.

Responsibilities include hands-on testing, design validation, and overseeing staff when needed. A strong background in PLCs, IO data, and analog/digital signals is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
• MS with 6+ years of experience.
• PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience implementing PLC designs and working with analog/digital I/O.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Instrumentation & Control systems.
• Author and review process control diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test plans.
• Prepare materials for internal and external reviews for design and manufacture.
• Review design packages for manufacturability, testability and validation.
• Occasionally provide hands-on testing of electronics and software.
• Provide technical oversight of staff as appropriate.
