Peraton is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and test Instrumentation & Control systems in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment at PERATON Labs in New Jersey. The role emphasizes real-time data analysis, prototype maturation, and close collaboration with engineering and scientific staff to deliver field-deployable solutions.

U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be onsite five days a week at Port Reading, NJ.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
• MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience.
• PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to be onsite five days a week.
• Experience with National Instruments equipment like cRIO and cDAQ.
• Experience with LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of analog/digital IO and signal conditioning.
• Experience reading/writing technical documentation.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and test experimental Instrumentation & Control systems.
• Author and review documentation packages (diagrams, wiring, test plans).
• Prepare presentations and simulations for internal and external reviews.
• Review design packages for manufacturability and validation.
• Occasionally support hands-on testing and repairs of electronics and software.
• Provide technical oversight of staff when appropriate.
