Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Power Generation Team in Overland Park, KS. You will develop instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines to meet project objectives.

The role involves coordinating with clients and vendors, supporting field commissioning, and ensuring safety policies are followed. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant discipline.
• 3+ years of power generation instrumentation and controls experience.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and other teams safely and efficiently.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.
• Flexible to varying schedules and able to adapt to change under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects.
• Coordinate with disciplines on multi-discipline projects and with clients/vendors.
• Provide instrumentation and control engineering support, develop criteria and specifications.
• Review subcontractor documents, monitor construction progress and field start-up support.
