Job summary

Cimarron Software Services is seeking a senior-level Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support the USAF Sentinel program in Ogden, UT. This on-site role offers a 9X80 schedule, paid overtime, and relocation assistance for non-locals.

Qualifications

• US citizen required due to facility security requirements.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Extensive experience with commercial HVAC design/integration.
• Experience designing systems for industrial or government facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and office automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of control systems design principles, codes, and standards.
• Ability to review and develop technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems and equipment for the USAF Sentinel program per codes and contract requirements.
• Develop control system designs for facility utilities (HVAC, lighting, power).
• Create/review P&IDs, logic diagrams, and instrument data sheets using AutoCAD.
• Generate instrument index and I/O lists from vendor inputs.
• Prepare specs and procurement docs using SpecsIntact.
• Evaluate vendor submittals and integrate findings into designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and systems engineers to execute plans.
• Ensure designs meet security requirements with government stakeholders.
• Maintain quality and schedule adherence throughout design execution.
