Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to own the control system deliverables for major modular data center systems. You will design, implement, test, and commission across the design and commissioning lifecycle.

You will work in active manufacturing environments with technicians and vendors, ensure accurate documentation, and deliver robust control solutions using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Studio 5000, ControlLogix/CompactLogix and Ignition SCADA.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of industrial instrumentation and controls with ownership of design deliverables across design and commissioning lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms including Studio 5000 and ControlLogix/CompactLogix.
  • Hands-on Ignition SCADA experience including tag architecture, screen development, historian configuration, and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Proven ability to author and execute test procedures, drive discrepancies to closure, and make release decisions on your verifications.
  • Comfort working in active manufacturing and construction environments with technicians, trades, and vendors.
  • Track record of producing accurate, well-documented deliverables for downstream teams.

Job description

As a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer supporting Crusoe's modular data center platform, you will own the control system deliverables for major systems inside the modules we manufacture.

Requirements
  • Instrumentation & Controls Depth: 5 to 8 years of professional experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, with demonstrated independent ownership of design deliverables across the design and commissioning lifecycle.
  • PLC Proficiency: Strong working command of Rockwell and Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and ControlLogix or CompactLogix hardware, and the ability to read, modify, and troubleshoot existing logic.
  • SCADA Capability: Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA or a comparable platform, including tag architecture, screen development, historian configuration, and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Testing and Commissioning Rigor: Proven ability to author and execute test procedures, drive discrepancies to closure, and make release decisions on the accuracy of your own verification.
  • Field and Factory Judgment: Comfort operating in active manufacturing and construction environments, with the credibility to work through installation and calibration issues directly with technicians, trades, and vendors.
  • Documentation Discipline: A track record of producing accurate, well-documented deliverables that downstream construction and operations teams can rely on without rework.
  • Mandatory Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
