• This position offers the opportunity to utilize and expand your background in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering.
• You will work on project teams designing new power plants, modifying existing facilities, and improving plant controls.
• You will be involved in power distribution design, and preparing specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment procurement.
• As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will coordinate power plant design, prepare engineering calculations, and design electrical control circuits.
• You will enhance your skills through mentoring, technical sessions, and on-the-job training.
• Potential travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and verification.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through S&L’s systems and Communities of Practice.

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential Skills And Experience

• BSc in Electrical Engineering; power systems emphasis preferred.
• PE license or eligibility to obtain one.
• 9+ years in power plant and industrial control systems.
• Experience with power or industrial controls.
• Understanding of instrumentation and controls engineering principles and application.
• Ability to read and create logic diagrams and control narratives.
• Knowledge of technical plans, drawings, and modeling.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Teamwork experience and strong work habits.
• Enthusiastic and resourceful attitude.

Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience

• Experience with DCS, TCS, and PLC programming.
• Field work experience including system upgrades, commissioning, and start-up.

Compensation Range

$91,220.00 - $140,750.00
