Join to apply for the Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer 2 - Nuclear role at Sargent & Lundy.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment with engineers and designers on the design, modification, and analysis of power plant controls systems.

Responsibilities include:

1. Design and development of digital systems (PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems)
2. Creating functional requirements and procurement specifications for control systems
3. Designing control systems for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, turbines, and reactors
4. Cyber assessment of digital assets
5. Client meetings and site walkdowns
6. Supporting project management to ensure timely and within-budget project completion
7. Preparing detailed calculations for controls applications
8. Vendor interface for document reviews and specifications
9. Technical reporting and documentation review
10. Mentoring less experienced engineers

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 7+ years experience in instrumentation and controls system design for nuclear power plants
• Experience with equipment selection, system design, and documentation
• Knowledge of controls for low and medium voltage systems, turbines, pumps, etc.
• Client liaison experience
• PE license preferred

Compensation Range: $91,220 - $140,750
