Dematic has an immediate need for a Controls Engineer in our Customer Service Modernizations & Upgrades group. Candidates that have exposure to control systems/PLC programming and a passion for automation will be a great fit for this team! Candidates can be based anywhere in the continental USA, but must be open to 40% travel to our customer sites in the United States.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000-$140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
What You Will do in This Role:
Assist in commissioning of complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
Assist in the design of schematics and control panels.
Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
Assist in PLC programming
Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.
Applies problem-solving skills
Interact with the customer
Travel no more than 40% to customer sites in the USA
What We are Looking For:
BSEE or relevant field of study
Internship experience in electrical/controls engineering preferred
Excellent communication skills
Strong desire to work in material handling/automation industry
Exposure to electrical/hardware design preferred
Exposure in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs preferred
Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop
Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus
