Job summary

ExxonMobil Baytown is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to design, install, and maintain field instrumentation and SIS across the Baytown Complex, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

You will work with vendors, support maintenance, and contribute to equipment strategy and risk assessments while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and support Capital Projects. This role is on-site in Baytown, TX and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in petrochemical industry or design institute.

Responsibilities

• Provide instrument engineering design, configuration, programming and maintenance support for Baytown instrumentation.
• Size and specify instrumentation for new/existing instruments.
• Support maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, configure/tune, test/commission equipment.
• Participate in safety, risk assessments, and SIL/equipment strategy discussions.
• Contribute to equipment strategies and maintain reliability in operations.
