Job summary

ExxonMobil's Gulf Coast Growth Ventures in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to provide design, configuration, programming, and maintenance of process instrumentation for safe and reliable operations. You will size and specify instrumentation, work with SIS, DCS/SCADA, PLCs, and field devices, and partner with maintenance and vendors to troubleshoot, test, and implement improvements.

3+ years in petrochemical or equivalent required; bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Eng

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Understand fundamentals of process measurements (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
• Able to size and specify instrumentation under guidance of experienced resources.
• Understand ISA and API symbols and P&ID reading.
• 3+ years in petrochemical industry or design institute.
• Knowledge of SIS hardware/software and safety systems.
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA platforms and field instrumentation networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
• Support safety, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to instrumentation.
• Interface with vendors and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, repair and commission systems.
• Develop equipment strategies focusing on reliability, availability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to ensure safe operations.
