Job summary

CAE is seeking an Instructor Pilot to deliver flight simulator and ground training, leading sessions and briefings while maintaining regulatory compliance and CAE curriculum alignment. You will serve as an SME across assigned aircraft platforms and manage training records.

Preferred candidates hold an ATP license or ATP Written and may have a PIC Type Rating. FAA Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours are valued, with work authorization in the United States required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred.
• FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours preferred.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
• Conduct professional pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.
• Provide instruction across aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After ~1.5+ years, qualify as Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
